This collection of Kansas City veterans play Latin music with roots in Cuba and Haiti.
A versatile project that has adapted itself to a number of settings, Mundo Nouvo (pronounced “moon-doe, new-voe”) is devoted to a long-standing tradition of Caribbean storytelling through sound.
Whether playing uptempo numbers for the dance crowds or improvising a ballad in a more intimate space, Mundo Nouvo is a wide-ranging cast of talents interested in extending the rich music catalogue of Latin America.
