Through the media of printmaking, my current practice brings together images that celebrate big and small details of life. They evoke and highlight moments that make up both day-to-day and heightened times, like a cup of morning coffee or a glorious sunset.  By the gathering of images, I contemplate connections, commonalities and contrasts in the natural world and human creations. I am a Kansas City based artist specializing in fine art printmaking. Drawing on my experience as a designer, I use graphic shapes and patterns to create richly layered works from hand carved blocks.  My work depicts patterns, contrasts and rhythms present in land, flora and food that serve to evoke emotions and shared experiences.  Each piece is hand printed in single or small-numbered editions, primarily using the techniques of relief printing and monotype.
